Kindergarten Journals

Our kindergarten students are getting very skilled at integrating letter sounds into their journals.  Here are 4 students who have done a fantastic job of writing the beginning sound of each word.  Well done Zoey, Jason, Mackenzie, and Marilyn.  Keep up the good work.

Math in the Real World

Some of you may have spotted and interesting bulletin board beside the library in the Grade 2/3 wing of the school.  This board has been designated as out “Math in the Real World” display and has been used by Mrs. Hallett’s class to bring us “Circles: Terminal Digits and Digital Sums” and “Dream Courtyards.”  These showcase students’ work relating to math in the real world and generate discussion about real-life applications of Math.  Watch for more interesting displays from other classes in our school!

My graphic novel is about how the rabbit got big ears. It is 27 pages long but we could only include 3 pictures. My favourite part was drawing the pictures.

The Lonely Inukshuk

Today my teacher showed us the story “The Lonely Inukshuk.”  We used pastels to colour the picture, and black to outline the shapes.  We made the inukshuk out of black paper.  It was fun.
